HB 1393, as amended would enable a mathematical, in-office procedure for determining property appraisal values and end the practice of inspecting homes, unless requested by the homeowner. It would make what is now a subjective, unfair and intrusive process more objective and clear, and it would potentially save a considerable amount of taxpayer money currently spent by communities on home inspections.
